I got a question from Darrell M. Varney a few days ago. He sent me a super in-depth question regarding his current life situation. He’s felling overwhelmed and stress at the moment.

All real entrepreneurs and hard working men and women out there will deal with a tremendous amount of chaos and stress.

And sometimes we can loose ourselves in all of that.

What works for me in these times of stress is to sit down for 10-20 minutes every day and just meditate and become more present. And it has made a world of difference. When I feel overwhelmed I take the time to pause and relax.

When we are stressed our mind gets crazy. Our thoughts spin at a 100 miles per hour until we can’t think clearly and feel exhausted. So what you have to do is slow down, breathe and relax.

Don’t feel that you have to always be “ON”. Take a short “OFF” break. It’s refreshing.

We can’t make smart decisions in a state of stress.

So Darrel, and anyone else experiencing stress in life and business, I want to invite you to practice meditation for 10-20 mins every day.

I share some pointers in this podcast about how to get started with meditation. I’m not a meditation teacher, but I meditated every single day for two years in the early phases of my business. And I think it’s partially what allowed me to stay sane 🙂

Just give it a try for one month. Make it an evening ritual and see how it makes you feel.

It can take a while until you feel the effects, but it’s very real.

Be patient. Relax and enjoy the OFF moment.
