You might have heard about Facebook Canvas in the past, which is a simple mobile responsive landing page or bridge page builder.
Facebook Canvas is a bit like an extension of your ad.
You can send people from your ad directly to your Facebook Canvas, where you can tell your story or showcase your product in an engaging and fun way with text, visuals and call to actions.
One of my followers recently asked what the difference between Facebook Canvas and ClickFunnels is. With the number of online marketing tools increasing every day, it can be hard to keep track of all the software solutions out there. So let’s take a closer look.
With ClickFunnels you can build entire websites, fully customised landing pages and sales funnels. You can create opt-in pages, popups, thank you pages and webinar registration pages.

You can also build secure checkout pages that integrate with Stripe and other payment processors, one-click upsell offers and more.
None of these things can be done with Facebook Canvas.
Facebook Canvas is more of a mobile responsive “bridge page” that serves as an extension of your ad. And once you’ve told your story or showcased your product, your visitor can click on a call to action button in your Canvas and is taken to your destination URL.
As you can see, Facebook Canvas and ClickFunnels are two completely different marketing tools that serve different purposes.
ClickFunnels has much more functionality in terms of what you can do in general, but Facebook Canvas is stronger on the mobile responsive side and is definitively more dynamic and engaging.
If you want to sign up someone to a webinar or send your traffic to a high-converting sales page, Facebook Canvas is not for you.
But if you want to tell a story, showcase a new collection or do a pre-launch for a live event, then Facebook Canvas is perfect for that. It all depends on what the purpose and goal of your advertising strategy is. Personally, I’ve played around with Canvas a little bit, but for my business something like ClickFunnels is a lot more important.
