Instead of asking yourself which niches are oversaturated and trying to re-invent the wheel, why not pick a proven niche and start selling to an undersaturated country or underserved audience segment?
One reason why I was able to build two successful drop shipping stores so fast is because I sold to Germany and to Spain.
Nobody there has ever seen free plus shipping offers.
Whereas in the United States people have been hammered for years with the same claims, offers and promises. People simply become numb and unresponsive to advertising. But if you pick a proven niche and start selling to places in Europe, it’s like tapping into a gold mine.
I’m not saying you can’t become successful in the United States. I’ve got plenty of friends and students who are crushing it in the USA.
However, it’s harder to make it work in the first place.
On the other hand it’s easier to scale up 🙂
So as you can see there’s pros and cons to everything. You can watch this video here for some more pros and cons of selling to the USA versus places like Europe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxWdUFkoe-c. Both approaches can work extremely well.
I believe that most people don’t see the huge opportunity for drop shipping stores and e-commerce businesses outside the USA though.
If you speak multiple languages, that’s a huge advantage.
And if you have a friend or someone you can partner up to create a local store, that’s also an awesome benefit. Those markets are less saturated and the advertising costs can literally be dirt-cheap.
In the USA you might get a CPC of $0.20-$0.50 for a good campaign.
In Spain the CPC is going to be $0.05-$0.10 for a good ad. And in Italy the CPC can be as low as $0.03 which is pretty insane.
Don’t always do what the masses do.
Think outside of the box and always look for opportunities where others can’t see them. There are so many opportunities out there, all you have to do is set a goal, stay focussed and keep working hard.
