I recently got a question from one of my followers on YouTube and he was complaining about the “slave” mentality in his family, and the fact that his family is telling him to just work hard to make a living.
But Steven wants to unplug from the matrix, escape the rat race and overcome this “slave” mentality that’s been predominant in his family for generations.
In the last 7 years Steven got fired from every job he had.
And he even has problems finding a new job.
The dilemma here is obviously that he wants to “skip” the hard work part and reach financial freedom, which is not going to happen. In other words, Steven is dreaming from living life as an entrepreneur when he can’t even find or keep a job in the last seven years.
So what I would suggest is to focus on one thing:
MASTER VALUE CREATION
The key to fixing your financial situation is to become great at providing value. And if you can’t provide value in a shitty job cleaning bathroom floors, how are you going to do it as an entrepreneur?
How are you ever going to create a great product?
How are you going to lead a team of 10, 100 or 1,000 people?
Not going to happen…
When you’re right at the bottom like Steven, you can’t skip ahead, you can’t shortcut your way to financial freedom. You have to become good at creating value for your employers. And then maybe, only maybe, you can start getting great at creating value independently.
But for god’s sake, you don’t “deserve” being financially free.
At least not yet, because obviously you are unable to create any form of value for society or our economy. So you first have to become good at creating value in a job, before even considering moving on.
To wrap up: There’s no way around hard work.
Hard work pays off.
And sometimes (often times) you have to do stuff you don’t enjoy doing, work jobs you hate, to reach the next level of freedom.
