Today I will tell you why I use Facebook ads for Shopify, and no other. Not Google AdWords or Twitter, but Facebook.
First of all, if you aren’t using Facebook ads to grow your business right now, you are out of your mind. We’re currently living in one of the best times for paid advertising and yet most people are missing out big time.
When Google AdWords came out, it was ground breaking.
It changed the whole advertising industry. You could bid on keywords and pay almost nothing for a click, while getting a huge ROI.
Nowadays AdWords is overpriced and has become uninteresting for many marketers and advertisers, because it has limited targeting options, a clumsy interface and advertising prices are too high.
Twitter launched their own ad platform a few years ago, but they’re dealing with a completely different problem: Attention!
Twitter is noisy and even though the ad prices are almost as cheap as Facebook, there is less attention on Twitter because of the way the platform works. So although Twitter built an incredible ad product for marketers, it’s less attractive to advertise due to lack of attention.
Right now, Facebook ads are the sweet spot.
Facebook is now what Google AdWords was 15 years ago. Advertising prices are heavily underpriced, especially outside the United States of America. And the attention is still there.
Let me recap why Facebook wins:
1) They have the attention
2) Underpriced ads
3) Most advanced targeting settings
That’s why the Facebook ad platform is the most profitable way to advertise online right now. It might change in one, two or five years, but right now your best bet is to run Facebook ads while it’s still so cheap and while the collective attention is still on Facebook.
