Recently Stefan Zugor asked me: “If I only had 24 hours to make as much money as possible, what would I do and why?”.
Here’s what I would do.
I would get up as early in the morning as possible, find a high-ticket service I can sell to a large group of people that’s easily reached per email or telephone and then spend 12 hours a day selling.
Then I would cold call business after business and send cold email after cold email and knock on so many doors until something works.
I would sell like my life depends on it.
And I would continue doing that every day until something clicks and I make my first sale. Then I would continue doing that until I make my second sale. And then I would start trying to get some referrals.
Over time I would then start investing money in marketing. And would also build a brand to build leverage and make selling easier.
But when you have nothing and need to survive.
All you have is salesmanship.
If you aren’t making any money in your business it’s because:
- you’re a pussy or
- you aren’t focusing on selling.
People have to be willing to give you money for the added value you provide to their life’s. It’s not just about having a good product. There are thousands of people with good offers that can’t make money because they didn’t took the time to learn about salesmanship.
You have to close the deal. You have to know how to sell.
If you can’t sell, you can’t make a profit. And so you don’t have a business.
